A Mother’s Prayer of Anguish

 

 

May the God of all consolation
     and compassion,
     have mercy on my son [N.];

Mary, Mother of Sorrows,
     who knows a mother’s anguish,
     into your arms I place my son [N.],

Please hold him close and comfort him.

This I pray, Amen.
